nFo about the artist
Let’s avoid questions as to what FCL stands for: it’s the abbreviation and calling name for FC
Leiejongens, the local football team with San Soda as right-winger and Red D as goalkeeper… So now you already know who this outfit consists of. San
Soda is the young and eager producer who has racked up one big release after another since his debut in 2008, and Red D is the seasoned veteran who
has been playing house music in its broadest sense all over Belgium and beyond since the early 90ies.
Their spiritual home is We Play House Recordings, the label set up by Red D in 2008 with the initial purpose to release music by San Soda. Since then
the label has been a home for more than just San Soda alone, releasing music by Reggie Dokes, Russ Gabriel and Raoul Lambert amongst others. It was
only logical that San Soda and Red D ended up in the studio together, hence the collaboration FCL.
The first studio work the pair indulged in was a remix for WPH002 of ‘Highway’, a track by Belgians Maxim Lany and Ramon Tapia, shortly after
followed by an edit of an old Reggie Dokes track for WPH004. Some remixes followed suit and it wasn’t long before ‘Vocals For Everyone’ hit the
shops, the first full E.P. of FCL on We Play House Recordings. This E.P. featured the tracks ‘Let’s Go’ and ‘More Than Seven’, the latter
with vocals by Belgian jazz diva Lady Linn. Both tracks are already house music history, being played and charted by almost everyone from Dennis
Ferrer to Dixon, and surely two of the most memorable pieces of house music in 2010.
A remix of Stuffa’s ‘Proof’ on Berlin’s Trunkfunk followed suit and was recently licensed to house moguls Defected. November of 2011 saw the
duo release a split E.P. with VFB, the moniker for the collaboration between Danilo Plessow of M.C.D.E. fame and Red D. To be expected early 2012 is
the ‘More Vocals For Everyone E.P.’ on WPH, the much-anticipated follow-up to the ‘Vocals For Everyone E.P.’ and also a glimpse of the
upcoming FCL album to be released further into 2012.
On the gig front FCL have been playing together or as San Soda and Red D all over Europe and beyond in 2011, and with a second gig in Panoramabar
planned for February 2012 FCL seems only to be gaining more momentum in the near future.

Defected are proud to be releasing an exclusive all star remix package of one the most hyped records of the past twelve months.
FCL's reworking of Chicagoan duo ESP's classic house track 'It's You', or more specifically San Soda's Panorama Bar Acca
Version, has taken the underground clubbing world by storm since the FCL guys first released it last summer on their own We Play House label. With its
phenomenally uplifting and infectious vocals, and its simple framework, making it ripe for remixing, it's easy to see why it was one of the most
acclaimed tracks of this year's Miami WMC and why the original and its remixes are set to become anthems of Ibiza's 2013 season. First on
remix duties is US house veteran MK who, in signature style, strikes a perfect balance between a subtly driving and bouncing bassline and the
original's soulful vocal loop, with just the right amount of energy to set off any peak time dance floor. Next up is fellow US heavyweight David
Morales who's intricate and understated percussion complements the original vocal cut to perfection. The blissfully Balearic vibes, crafted from
one of the world's most prolific remixers, underlines his status as one of the world's undisputed masters of uplifting house music.
Flashmob's down tempo take on the track offers a catchy bass line which gives way to sultry waves of synths; another captivating groove from the
Italian duo whose production skills are going from strength to strength. And if that wasn't enough, Defected call upon the legend that is Mr
Fingers to complete the remix package. And who better to craft an 'acid jam vocal edit' than Larry Heard, who's expert mix of core acid
squelch sounds and hypotonic trance like vibes take the track on a twisted journey back in time to the decade of its inception. In short, these
remixes are the ultimate party piece for the summer ahead and beyond. FCL 'It's You' (Remixes) 1. It's You (MK Mix) 2. It's
